BRICS op een historisch punt

De BRICS-club is niet gericht op de vernietiging van de bestaande wereldorde, maar om die ten goede te verbeteren. Hierdoor is het revisionistisch en niet revolutionair. De BRICS-landen willen niet dat de globalisering, de instellingen en het internationaal recht instorten. Dit betekent dat hun taak complexer is: binnen de bestaande orde zodanige regels, normen en manieren van samenwerking creëren dat de voordelen behouden blijven en de tekortkomingen worden weggewerkt.
